Busy Bee's

Wow, it has been busy, not sure what else to say and where do I start! OK, so firstly, the most important thing, my good friend and the other founder of The Hive....is pregnant!!! I am so happy for Kirsten, Logan and Geoff. They will be meeting the new member of the Degner household sometime in March. Finding a quilting instructor moves to the top of the list, so I am able to learn how to make a quilt as a gift!!! So Kirsten will be definitely now be taking time out to spend more time with her family and concentrating on cooking baby Degner!

I have been super busy, putting together schedules, costings, booking venues and trying to get the word out there. You will now find our Fall Schedule on the Schedule Page and descriptions of our classes on the Workshop page. Saffron from Serious Play Studio, is very kindly renting her space to us, so we will be holding the majority of our courses there and we will also be holding a few in Collins Hall.

I was at the Family Place Resource Fair on the weekend, where the feedback was amazing. Lots of excited potential students, lots of very positive feedback and possibly a couple more instructors coming on board. I am currently speaking with an instructor for some advanced knitting, maybe someone to quilt and I hoping to be able to bring a jewelery designer from San Diego to Bowen early next year, fingers crossed. I am super excited by this prospect!

I am designing and putting together a monthly newsletter, and adding more content to the blog. My To Do List seems to increase rapidly each day! This weeks task, advertising, getting the word out there and letting people know, we are ready to take your bookings!
