Welcome to The Hive - a crafting haven nestled in a truly magical place; Bowen Island, British Columbia, Canada. What is the Hive? Well let us tell you - the Hive is a place for like-minded, creative individuals to meet, inspire, educate and produce handmade loveliness. Until we can find the perfect location to call home, we will be invading coffee shops, quaint little churches and even a nice big patch of grass this summer. So if the clicking of knitting needles, the melodic hum of a sewing machine, or the cursing from someone that just poked themselves with their needle makes you giddy, then this is the place for you.

I have lived on Bowen Island for 2.5 years (love it!), am married to a very patient and understanding husband, John and have two beautiful daughters, Isobel (7) and Lucy (2 3/4). I have always loved to sew and create, making embroidered quilts, bags and blankets. My true love, is creating felted toys - everything from dinosaurs to toothfairy pillows. To make and create is my down time - I can get lost in the choosing of fabrics, hand stitching and giving my little 'people' their own personalities.
