F.A.Q.

I receive a lot of enquiries regarding our courses, so I am hoping this page answers some of the questions you have, if not, please drop me an email.

  • All courses must be booked and paid for in full, before the course runs.  We will run each course on a minimum course number, if that number is short, we will either have to consolidate courses or postpone.
  • We accept cash, cheques or paypal as payment for our courses.  When sending us your booking, please specify, which course, date and month.  Name, address, telephone number, email (if you have it), age of child (if a children's course).  Once payment is received in full, your place will be confirmed.
  • Should there be a need to cancel, we require 48 hours notice.  We try to be flexible with regard to cancellation and understand that illnesses and unavoidable matters do arise.  However, unless we are able to fill the spot, we will have to take a $15 administration charge to cover venue and instructors costs.   
  • We are very flexible with our courses.  If you would like to bring you own beginners knitting pattern to make instead of the suggested craft, please drop us an email, and we will see what we can do!
  • We would like to take photos of students working to post on our website.  However, we will ask permission of the person (or parent of the person) before publishing any pictures.
  • All courses are taken at the owners personal risk.  We take every step to ensure students personal safety, however, we hope students are also responsible for their own safety, and work safely in their working environment.  
  • Gift cards are available for purchase, starting at $10 each.
  • We are on Facebook and we also have a newsletter, so please sign up to receive the latest news.
  • We want your feedback!!  We want to know what courses you would like to see The Hive offer.  We cannot run without you and want to offer something for everyone, so if you have any ideas, please drop me an email.
