Knitting - Tutor - Saffron Gurney
Crochet - Tutor - Leah Serna
Learn how to make a yarn chain with your hook, and carry on to learn different stitches. Learn to read the language of crochet to combine these different stitches. Once combined, your project will evolve!
This one off 3 hour course runs once a month for adults and children. A starter kit can be purchased for $15 each, or you can bring your own supplies. Adults - 5mm hook with 3 balls of 1 3/4 oz yarn. Children - 6mm hook with 3 balls of 1 3/4 oz yarn. Cost $45 per person.

How to Work your Sewing Machine
Tutor - Ily Allen
Many of us have a sewing machine, hoping to be able to run up a cushion cover, or maybe a little dress or just to use to hem pants....but have no idea on how to actually use it! Let us show you how to get the most out of your machine. Bring in your machine and we will teach you how to use it. Starting from threading the machine, using the correct tension, the different stitches available and when to use them. This will be a smaller class, so we are able to give you one on one tutoring.
Criteria for this class - We will need your machine user manual prior to the course or if that has been mislaid....the make and model of your machine and we can find the manual. This will be a one off workshop lasting around 3 hours. Cost $45 per person.
How to Hem Pants - Tutor - Ily Allen
How much have we all spent in having someone else hem our pants? This class will teach you how to do it for yourself. We will show you how to measure the correct hem length, cut it correctly and finally sew it.
Criteria for this class - You must be able to work a sewing machine or have taken the above class first. Bring in a pair of pants that require hemming (ideally yours and not jeans) and your sewing machine. If you are able to use a sewing machine, but not have access to one, we will have a couple on hand. This will be a one off workshop lasting around 3 hours. Cost $45 per person.
Making a Simple Stuffie - Tutor - Ellen White
This class will be suited to children who have the basic ability to sew from the ages of 8 years and up. We will have various kits of some of my favourite stuffies for you to sew. We will teach you how to blanket stitch and put your creations together. We will also have a sewing machine on hand, so if you are able to use this, there will be a few advanced stuffies to sew as well. This will be a one off workshop lasting around 3 hours. Cost $40 per person including all supplies.

Halloween Owl - Tutor - Saffron Gurney
We all need a little Halloween Owl sitting by the Jack-0-Lantern on Halloween evening...come along for this 2 hour workshop. We will show you how to sew this very cute little creature. All supplies are included. This course will be an adult and child joint venture. Cost - $55 per couple.
Origami for the Christmas Tree- Tutor - Saffron Gurney
Make Japanese origami paper ornaments that are beautiful and economical to decorate your tree and home for the holiday season. This class is primarily for adults and will run as one off 3 hour workshop. All supplies are included. You will learn how to make 3 different beautiful designs. Cost - $45 per person.
Card Making - Tutor - Saffron Gurney
Send your friends and family personalised Christmas cards. In this workshop learn 5 printmaking techniques for making multiple editions for the holiday season. This is a one off workshop lasting around 3 hours, which will suit both children and adults. 1 set of 10 cards and envelopes are included, just bring your favourite cards and paper to add. Cost - $45 per person.
Box Making - Tutor - Ily Allen
In this one off workshop lasting around 3 hours, you will be given 3 different templates to take away with you. You will be shown how to cut, construct and embellish. Friends and family will be delighted to receive just the box without the gift inside! This will suit both adults and children. Card and some embellishments will be supplied, please feel free to bring all those beautiful pieces of ribbon, sparkles, old bits of jewelery, oh and your imagination! Cost - $35 per person.
Christmas Decorations made from felt - Tutor - Ellen White
We will provide you with pre cut felt shapes, ranging from stars through to snowmen. We will embellish, stuff and sew these keepsake decorations. This one off workshop will last around 3 hours and will suit all ages of child. Parents can stay and join in with the creativity and should help be needed to sew, Ellen has become a pretty dab hand and can help any little people out. Bring anything you would like to decorate your shapes with, however, there will be plenty of treasures on hand. Cost - $35 per person including all supplies.

This course will run for 5 weeks and you will be guided by Eva whilst you complete that project. She will help you with the different types of stitches, reading the pattern, the type of yarn that should be used, and helping with the style and shape. She will be there to answer any questions and give any help needed.
